The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends that adults get at least 150 minutes of physical activity every week of moderate intensity activity.
For children ages 6-17, the AHA recommends at least an hour a day of some type of physical activity.
The time and intensity of physical activity should continue to increase to improve your wellbeing further. Physical activity is important because it helps decrease your risk of many health issues such as heart disease, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. It can also help stimulate better brain function.
