The CDC recommends the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025 to be used when healthy eating. These guidelines encourage fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products. They also suggest a variety of protein foods, foods low in sugar and salt, and they promote daily calorie limits.
Healthy eating goes further than just food, it also includes drinks. Try to cut out excess soda or juice drinks that can add to your sugar content for the day. Water is a great option for a drink; and if you don’t like it, you can always add something to it – add a fruit to it or flavoring packets.
