The Live Well Waco Asset Map includes map and list format of locations that provide access to healthy living opportunities in the greater Waco area such as where fresh produce and healthy foods, exercise facilities, access to healthcare, and other assets are available.
Below the map in the bottom left hand corner you will find a drop down box that allows you to change the categories you can search by. The four categories include type of space, quality, neighborhood, and amenities.
To narrow down the locations shown in the map, you can select one group or multiple groups shown as the colored circles to the right of the drop down box. You can further target your search or search by other criteria by changing the category from the drop down box and selecting additional groups to the right of the box. As you select the groups, they appear in gray boxes, and if you want to delete a selection, just click the “X” on the left hand side of the gray box.
There is also a search bar located at the top right hand corner of the page. What you type in the box will appear as an option in a gray box underneath the map. If you want to delete a selection or begin a new search, just click the “X” on the left hand side of the gray boxes.
Type of Space:
Neighborhood: If applicable, the locations are broken into which neighborhoods the assets are located
Amenities: If available, different assets are listed such as locations where playgrounds are located.
On the map you will find colored circles indicating the groups within the categories you have selected. To see these locations and information you will need to click on the circles inside the map. Once you click on the circle information for that specific location will appear in a box. To look at another location click the “X” on the right hand side of the box or simply click on another circle. To see a list format of all the locations and information you have selected please see the next question below.
First, click on an area of the page in the black square below the map. Next, scroll further down the page below that square and you will see the locations itemized in a list format. This list will change as you select specific categories and groups. You can also use the scroll bar located on the right hand side of the page. To use this you simply click on the scroll bar then scroll your mouse down.
You can use the + and – signs located on the left hand side of the map. These will allow you to zoom in and out of the area you have clicked on the map. Another way to see the location circles you can click on the map in the area with the circles and scroll your mouse forward to zoom or backwards to zoom out. You can also use the mouse to drag the map to allow for centering the map on your screen.
